CRISIS & EMERGENCY SUPPORT

Blue Amber Counselling is not a crisis service.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or feel that you are at immediate risk of harm, please seek urgent support through appropriate services.

Immediate and emergency support:
Emergency services – Dial 999 if you are in immediate danger  
• Accident & Emergency (A&E)  
• NHS 111 or your local out-of-hours GP  

 

Crisis and emotional support services:
Samaritans – Freephone 116 123 (UK, 24/7) 
• SHOUT – Text 85258 for free, confidential text support (UK, 24/7)  
• Local Mind / Mindline services – Emotional support and crisis listening services (availability varies by area)  

If you are already under the care of local mental health services, please use the crisis pathways provided to you.

In emergencies, do not rely on email or website contact methods.

 

DATA PROTECTION, GDPR & ICO

Blue Amber Counselling is committed to protecting your personal information and upholding your rights under data protection legislation.

All personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act. Information is collected, stored, and retained only for legitimate purposes relating to the provision of services.

You have the right to:
• Access personal data held about you  
• Request correction of inaccurate information 
• Request deletion of data where appropriate

PAYMENT POLICY

To ensure clarity, fairness, and continuity of service, Blue Amber Counselling operates a clear payment policy.

All newly booked appointments must be paid for within 24 hours of booking unless otherwise agreed in advance. Appointments that have not been paid for within this timeframe cannot be guaranteed and may be cancelled or released to another client.

Payment confirms your booking and secures the allocated session time. Where payment has not been received within 24 hours and no prior arrangement has been made, Blue Amber Counselling reserves the right to cancel the appointment without further notice.

For ongoing work, payment arrangements will be discussed and agreed at the outset.

• Cash (by prior arrangement)

CANCELLATION POLICY

Blue Amber Counselling operates a clear and fair cancellation policy to respect both your time and the time of other clients.

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or appointment changes.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will be charged at the full session fee.

Payment is required prior to sessions when paying by BACS, Creddit Card or Cash (by prior arrangement only) at the start of the session.

Session fees start from £65 per session.  
Fees may vary depending on the type of service, session length, or level of support required.
