Professional Qualifications, Accreditation & Experience
I am a fully accredited practitioner with both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and have been practising within private and community settings for over a decade.
I hold a Higher Diploma (HDip) in Counselling Practice, along with a postgraduate qualification in Counselling Children and Young People, enabling me to work safely and appropriately with adults, adolescents, and children.
My core training is integrative and trauma-informed, allowing me to adapt my approach to the individual rather than applying a single model or formula. I am fully trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to Level 3, with extensive experience using DBT-informed approaches to support emotional regulation, relational difficulties, and complex presentations, including work with individuals who identify with traits associated with BPD / EUPD.
Alongside this, I have undertaken extensive additional training in:
• Trauma-informed therapeutic practice
• Emotional regulation and stabilisation work
• Neurodivergent-affirming practice (ADHD / Autism)
• Working with chronic illness, fatigue, and long-term health conditions
• Integrative and holistic approaches, including hypnotherapy and Reiki where appropriate
I am committed to ongoing professional development, clinical supervision, and reflective practice, ensuring that all work at Blue Amber is ethically grounded, current, and responsive to the evolving needs of those I support.
